Lama brings a powerful blend of personal conviction and strategic expertise to INPOWER to Support. Her academic foundation, featuring a background in Sociology and two Master’s degrees from Université Saint-Joseph, Beirut, equipped her with the critical lens to identify profound social gaps in mental health support. This perspective was key to shaping INPOWER’s community-based approach.
With over 15 years of professional experience across the Middle East and the rigorous SPHRi certification, Lama possesses the proven track record necessary for scaling a high-functioning NGO. The organization’s core program, the Parents Support Program, is a direct evolution of her personal initiative. Lama successfully initiated support groups in partnership with the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Department at the American University of Beirut- AUBMC, (two groups) and the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon- CCCL (one group).
This early success revealed the immense inner power of the parents and the unique strength of each child, which became the direct inspiration for the name INPOWER to Support. Having witnessed the transformative power of peer support, she co-founded INPOWER to extend this vital, empathetic mission to all families across Lebanon.
