The Parents Support Program is a foundational program of INPOWER, directly addressing the profound emotional and practical challenges faced by parents of children with special needs. Raising a child with unique requirements is often a challenging experience, frequently leading to a complex mix of emotions, intense social pressure, and difficulty accessing essential resources—a situation worsened by the fact that mental health is still considered a taboo by many within the community.
At INPOWER, we hold the conviction that supporting parent mental health is as vital as supporting their children. This program is structured as a limited number of confidential sessions (typically 6–7 sessions), ensuring complete discretion and ample time for expression. Led by a highly professional trained therapist and certified psychologist, the groups provide a safe and welcoming space that expertly blends the powerful validation of peer support with professional guidance and tips. These sessions guide participants through the entire journey of acceptance, addressing challenges from early signs to navigating complex support systems, empowering them to build resilience, manage stress, and advocate for their families with confidence.
